Gomes has made 134 appearances for Lille, scoring 10 goals and providing 19 assists during his time with the club. He initially joined Lille from Manchester United in 2020.

As an England international, Gomes will be playing alongside another former Manchester United teammate, Mason Greenwood, at OM.

There were also interests from Premier League clubs Tottenham and West Ham in signing Gomes, but he has decided to remain in the French Ligue 1.
