The 26-year-old player has been considered not essential to Liverpool's lineup after struggling to make a significant impact under new manager Arne Slot.
During his time at Liverpool, Nunez scored seven goals and provided five assists in 47 games across all competitions as the team won the Premier League title.
Despite his lack of recent form, Napoli, the Serie A champions, are interested in signing Nunez, and their coach Antonio Conte is working to finalize the deal.
According to reports, Napoli has submitted a bid of €50 million, plus an additional €5 million in bonuses, for the Uruguayan striker.
Additionally, Napoli is also working on signing Lorenzo Lucca from Udinese, and it's possible that both players could join the team.
