According to Miguel Galan, the president of Spain's National Centre for Football Coaches (CENAFE), Tebas shared confidential financial information about Barcelona with Athletic.
Williams, a 22-year-old player, initially seemed set to join Barcelona but changed his mind at the last minute due to concerns about his registration.
Galan claimed that during a meeting between Tebas and Athletic, the La Liga president revealed confidential details about Barcelona's financial situation, including the club's interim financial statements.
These statements showed that Barcelona did not have the funds to register Williams without issue, and Tebas also presented a limited review report signed by Crowe Auditores España SL.
According to Galan, Tebas provided Williams with exaggerated financial information to generate concern in the player's family and convince them to include a release clause that lacked logic.
As a result, the non-signing of Williams is attributed to the distrust generated by Tebas towards the player's agent, the player himself, and his family.
