The striker was instrumental in setting up Jarrod Bowen's opener, but Saints snatched a point in injury time through Lesley Ugochukwu. Fullkrug's anger is directed squarely at his teammates, who he feels abandoned the possession-based football that had been working for them.
For 25-30 minutes in the second half, West Ham were on fire, creating chances and dominating possession. But after scoring, they seemed to switch off, sinking back into a defensive shell and failing to create any more opportunities.
This isn't the first time this season that West Ham have scored a goal and then seemingly lost their way. Fullkrug is calling on his teammates to find a way to stay focused and work together towards a common goal. "We have to find a way to have a togetherness, to have the idea of where we want to go, what we want to do," he said.
The coach is on the same page, but Fullkrug knows that it's up to the players to make it happen. "Everyone has to do it," he emphasized. "It's just my feelings today."
