United are set to face Athletic Bilbao in the semis, and with the Premier League title out of reach, Amorim is ready to shake things up.
"I have to see it," Amorim said, hinting at a rotation of young talent. "Players like Dalot are always ready, but today he was really tired. We'll try to save the injured ones and see how it goes tomorrow."
"It's not the best moment or the best season to put some kids to play, but we need to do it. And sometimes you get surprises," he added.
Ayden Heaven, who played recently, has caught Amorim's eye. "I can be honest, because we had a lot of injuries. But today I think of Ayden as my player. When he's ready, he's facing competition in the team and he's ready to play, so you don't know."
Harry Amass and Chido Obi also impressed, and Amorim hinted that Obi could get more minutes. "Yes, I think so. Yes."
