The club has strengthened its defense with the addition of Miguel Rubio, a 27-year-old defender from Granada.
Rubio joins Espanyol on a free transfer and has signed a three-year contract.
This is not the only new face at Espanyol, as the club has also welcomed Marcos Fernandez, a left-back from Real Betis.
Fernandez has signed a contract that will keep him at Espanyol until 2028.
Another player who has joined Espanyol this week is Hugo Perez, a 22-year-old centre-half from Villarreal.
Like Rubio and Fernandez, Perez has signed a three-year contract to play for Espanyol.
