With Real Madrid under pressure, Sacchi believes Ancelotti could be on the move at the end of the season.

“It’s a shame everyone’s bashing Carletto for the Champions League exit,” Sacchi told La Gazzetta dello Sport. “Do they know who he is? He’s a master of the game, not just trophies, but also his human qualities.

“Real Madrid should think long and hard before letting him go. He’s a gem.”

Sacchi also hinted at Ancelotti’s potential return to Serie A, suggesting that Milan or Roma should give him a call.

“I don’t know what Carletto wants, but I’d give him a shout if I were at Milan or Roma. It doesn’t cost anything. Let’s keep dreaming.”
