Butler-Oyedeji came on as a substitute in the second half, and Nwaneri was quick to praise the young striker's skills.
"Nathan is a very talented player," Nwaneri said. "He has excellent finishing skills and deserves his chance to play at this level."
Nwaneri has also been pleased with his own performance this season, scoring several goals for Arsenal.
"I'm happy with the number of goals I've scored this season," he said. "I think I've shown that I can contribute to the team with goals and assists."
